Jantar Mantar at Delhi is an archaeological achievement by our ancient architectures and masons. Timings of Jantar Mantar Delhi are sunrise to sunset.
This monument is not a network of paths and hedges designed as a puzzle (Bhool Bhuliya) through which one has to find a way, as most people think. It is a stone sundial that was built to collect astronomical data. The structure uses the position of the sun and the direction of the shadows and angle of the stars planets to tell the time in the days when people has no clock like now. It has been designed very highly skillfully to predict the movement and position of the sun, moon, planets & stars.

The astronomical instruments at Jantar Mantar observatory in Delhi are Samrat Yantra, the Jayaprakash Yantra, the Rama Yantra, and the Mishra Yantra. Most of these instruments were designed by Maharaja Jai Singh II.
Jantar Mantar is just a 5-8 minutes walking distance from the metro stations: Rajiv Chowk Metro Station Gate No. 6 (Blue/ Yellow Line), Patel Chowk (Yellow Line) metro station, Janpath Metro Station Gate No.2 (Violet Line) and Shivaji Stadium Metro Station (Airport Line).
Jantar Mantar Road Protest Place
In Delhi there are mainly three sites reserved for protesters to conduct their protests i.e. Jantar Mantar Road, Boat Club & Ramlila Ground. It is decided the Police which protest is allowed at which place.
Protesters cannot protest at their own at Jantar Mantar, atleast 7 days before written permission is required from the police as per Guidelines issued by the Delhi Police.
