All India Radio (AIR), officially known as Akashvani since 1957. It is established in 1936. It is the sister service of Prasar Bharati’s Doordarshan. Headquartered in the Akashvani Bhavan Delhi. Its office is on the Sansad Marg, New Delhi. Akashvani Bhavan Delhi houses the Drama Section and FM Section. Further, it is also the home of the Doordarshan Kendra, (Delhi).
Akashvani/ All India Radio is the largest radio network in the world. Akashvani and its office building known as Akashvani Bhawan Delhi. It is one of the largest broadcasting organizations in the world. It broadcasts 23 languages. AIR contains 420 broadcasting stations across the country.
Bombay Presidency Radio Club started Broadcasting in June 1923. British government took over the broadcasting facilities. Broadcasting Service began in the Indian State on 1 April 1930. Which is on experimental basis for two years. And made permanent from May 1932. It named All India Radio on 8 June 1936 and known as Akashvani from 1957.

Palika Bazar: It is located in front of gate No. 6 of Rajeev Chowk Metro Station. There are around 400 shops selling a different range of items. It is around 300 meters far from Akashvani Bhavan Delhi.
State Emporia/ Emporium Delhi is situated on Baba Kharak Singh Marg in front of the Pracheen Hanuman Mandir and Nearby Shivaji Stadium. Therefore, you can locate it easily. You will find arts and handicrafts famous in different State Emporia Delhi. It is 300 meters far from Akashvani Bhavan Delhi.
