Waste to Wonder Park:

Waste to wonder park is a newly added tourist spot in Delhi’s heart made from the waste scrape and you may visit here by bus or car. It is situated at Rajiv Gandhi Smriti Van near Sarai Kale Khan Inter-State Bus Terminal. The park show grand replicas of the Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Great Pyramid of Giza, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Christ the Redeemer and Rome’s Colosseum. The structures are built from 150 tonnes of scrap from the MCD’s scrap yards, which includes automobile parts and metal from rods, iron sheets, nuts and bolts. Since the clones are made from scrap metal, anti-rust enamel is being applied on them. To give out details of monuments, there will be stone plinths with every replica, providing information about both – original and duplicate of the wonder. Gurudwara Damdama Sahib:

This gurdwara is associated with the Tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh. It commemorates his meeting with Prince Muazzam, later Emperor Bahadur Shah, in 1707. The prince had asked him for help in the prince’s battle for succession for the throne with his brother, after the death of Aurangzeb. Guru Sahib met the Prince near Humayun’s Tomb, and together they drew up their strategy for battle. They watched elephant and bull fights organized for their entertainment. Sunder Nursery:

There was a time when today’s Sunder Nursery was known as Azim Bagh or Bagh-e-Azeem. This is a heritage park complex built in 16th-century an is adjacent to the Humayun’s Tomb. Total over 90 acres (36 hectare) were consumed for this magnificent park. It lies on the Mughal-era Grand Trunk Road. There are total fifteen heritage monuments here. Out of which 6 are UNESCO World Heritage sites, including Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) protected Sundarwala Burj, Sundarwala Mahal and Lakkarwala Burj.
