History:

Mahatma Gandhi spent around 8 months at this place and his personal belongings are still preserved and on display. His resting pillows, bed and spinning wheel are preserved here. A must to do activity for history students, studying Gandhi’s life and times. Mahatma Gandhi stayed for two hundred and fourteen days between April 1946 and June 1947. And on 2nd October 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his dream project “the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” here. Mahatma Gandhi ji stayed here for nearly 270 days in 1946-47 and started several movements. History students/lovers would surely love to spend time at this place.
