The Red Fort is a historic fort in the city of Delhi that served as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors. It was Constructed in 1639 by the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as the palace of his fortified capital. Shahjahanabad, the Red Fort is named for its massive enclosing walls of red sandstone. The imperial apartments consist of a row of pavilions, connected by a water channel known as the Stream of Paradise (Nahr-i-Bihisht). The fort complex is “considered to represent the zenith of Mughal creativity under Shah Jahan. There is Diwana-e-aam, Diwan-e-khas, Chaata Bazzar, Museums inside the premises of Red Fort. - On 27th February 2022 Red Fort played host to Slacklining Event. Crowd witnessed a group of Indian and German slackliners walking on a highline that was 30 meters above the ground. Alexander Schulz, a world record holding German slackliner also walked on this rope. This unique charm was organised by the Gerrman Embassy and supported by the Ministry of External Affairs. These slackliners were walking as if they are having a routine walk in the park not in the air. Spectators were cheerfully surprised.
