Zafar Mahal is located at the village of Mehrauli in south Delhi. This is the last Mahal constructed by the Mughals. Moti Masjid was a private mosque built by Bahadur Shah I just for the royal family has been embraced in the premises of the mahal. The mosque is made of white marble with three doomed at the top.
The last Emperor Bahadur Shah wished to be buried with in the premises of Zafar Mahal with his ancestors Bahadur Shah I, Shah Alam and his family members but unfortunately the Britishers deported Bahadur Shah Zafar to Rangoon (now Yangon) prison.

Constructed in 1842 the building has a three-storey structure made of red stone, beautified with marble. The mahal is about 300 feet to the west of Ajmeri Gate of the Dargah of Khwaja Kaki has an imposing gate. An extensive gate 50 feet wide known as Hathi Gate built to let decorated Elephants to pass through. It is a magnificent work in Mughal design.
