Bara Gumbad is the historical monument of the 14th century built by an unknown noble person at the time of Sikandar Lodi. In the premises of Lodhi Garden excluding Bara Gumbad three more monuments are situated Muhammad Shah’s Tomb, the tomb of Sikandar Lodi, The Shisha Gumbad. All the monuments are build in the reign of sikandar dynasty but not at the same time. It is considered to be the earliest created full dome of any building in Delhi. History:
After India got Independence a family was residing here but in 2010 Archaeological Survey of India took hold of the monument. The walls were badly damaged but now the archaeologist are doing their best to re-establish the lost glory of that era.
