National Museum of India is located at Janpath, New Delhi, nearest metro station is Central Secretariat. It has remarkable collection of artefacts from across the country and the world. Today it has more than two Lakh art objects representing 5000 years of Indian rt and craftsmanship. The collection includes sculptures in stone, bronze, terracotta and wood, a large collection of miniature paintings and manuscripts, coins, arms and armour, jewellery, textile, costumes and anthropological (मानवविज्ञान) objects. Antiquities from Central Asia and Pre-Columbian artefacts.

GROUND FLOOR: Harappan Civilization, Sculptures (Stone, Terracotta, Bronze & Wood), Buddhist Art, Indian Miniature Paintings, Evolution of Indian Scripts & Coins, Decorative Art.
FIRST FLOOR: Coins, Central Asian Antiquities, Paintings from Tanjore & Mysore, Ajanta Paintings, Maritime Heritage.
SECOND FLOOR: Arms and Armour, Wood Carving, Musical Instruments & Tribal Lifestyle of (North-East) India.
