National Zoological Park

National Zoological Park Delhi located at Mathura Road, Sundar Nagar, New Delhi. This is famously known as Delhi Zoo. Nowadays this place is a sprawling green island and a diverse collection of animals and birds, all in the middle of a growing urban Delhi. The Zoo is home to about 1350 animals representing almost 130 species of animals and birds from around the world. The zoo can be seen on foot or using a battery-operated vehicle which can be rented at the zoo. Visitors are not permitted to bring any food other than drinking water, but there is a canteen in the zoo. Latest Activities at Delhi Zoo:

• 20th April 2023: Two white Tiger cubs were released for public viewing. The eight month old male and female cubs, born to white tigress Sita and whitetiger Vijay-1. Cubs are named Avani (Earth) and Vyom (Universe).
• 19th September2022: 26 new fawns are added to Delhi Zoo. The new ones include three Indian Hog Deer, Three Spotted Deer, Two Barking Deer, One Sangai Deer, One Sambar Deer, and One Indian Gazelle (Chinkara)
• 24th August 2022: After a gap of seven years, “Three White Tiger Cubs are born at Delhi Zoo”. The cubs mother Sita a white tigress was also born at Zoo in 2015.
• 21st March 2022: On the occassion of International Day of Forests, aplantation drive was carried by Union Minister of Evironment , forest and climate Change, Mr. Bhupender Yadav. Total 75 saplings were planted at National Zoological Park on this day.
