Before mobile and internet technology, stamps played a very important role in every person’s life whether it was festivals or birthdays, happiness or sorrows. We always share our feelings through letters and postcards. In the drawers of our houses one could easily find one or more stamps. This exhibition will take you to those beautiful memories. To revive philately, India post is organising Amrit pex-2023, a five day National Stamp Exhibition at Pragati Maidan. The exhibition will encompass themes like women and youth power, culture, and history, nature and wildlife, New India and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Virtual reality rooms, digital activities, philately movies, a wall of stamps and live paintings by artists will interest visitors. Amritpex will showcase 1400 frames highlighting India’s history, culture, art and heritage through stamps and photographic collections. Eminents will also showcase their stamp collection.
